Dr Shaina Trapedo is a lecturer in English literature at Stern College and is a resident scholar at the Straus Centre for Torah and Western Thought at Yeshiva University of California, specialising in early modern literature and religious studies, and is currently writing a book which considers Shakespeare and his contemporaries’ indebtedness to Judaism and its exegetical traditions. In her teaching and writing, she explores the connections between Torah, the humanities, and social engagements.
