The Forum for Jewish Ethics in Technology (FJET), is an international forum hosted by LSJS, which brings together scholars and academics from multiple disciplines, industry specialists, and the broader community to explore Judaism’s rich ethical legacy and contribute meaningfully to the global conversation on technologies emerging from the artificial intelligence revolution. FJET advances original research, curates news and resources, and convenes conferences, networking forums, and specialist events that foster interdisciplinary dialogue at the intersection of tradition and innovation.
Our mission is to illuminate the ethical horizons of emerging technologies through Jewish thought, drawing on the unique perspectives of our 3300-year-old tradition to help guide the development and deployment of AI toward genuine human flourishing. While grounded in Jewish tradition, our work articulates ethical insights that do not presuppose adherence to Jewish faith commitments, offering approaches that are intellectually compelling and practically relevant to both members of our tradition and the wider public.
