Join librarian Samantha Reuben for a fascinating journey through the treasures of the LSJS Library and Archive – and enjoy lunch in our cafeteria. Discover remarkable pieces from Jewish history, including the first Hebrew concordance, printed in 1523; pamphlets from the 1820s; the first Hebrew typewriter; beautifully hand-painted manuscripts; the earliest machzor printed in the UK; and the earliest cookbook produced for British Jews.
Samantha manages LSJS's library and archive collections and is available to help with any library, archive or information enquiries. Having gained her MSc in Library and Information Science from UCL, Samantha has worked as an Information Officer, Researcher, Archivist and Librarian in the fields of General Law, Intellectual Property, Charities and Academia. She has written articles about the history of the Medieval Haggadah, delivered literary lectures and looks forward to sharing her insight into the LSJS collections, including our extensive Rare Book and Ephemera collections.
