Hagit is a native Hebrew speaker with sixteen years' experience teaching Hebrew and Jewish Studies. She has taught biblical and modern Hebrew in Germany and England and her students have included adults converting to Judaism, teenagers learning for their Bnei/Bnot mitzvah, and young children.
Hagit says: "Hebrew is the foundation of Jewish culture and traditions across geography and time. As a teacher, like many teachers before me, over thousands of years, I feel obliged to maintain and teach Hebrew as the language of prayer, Torah reading, and biblical study. When I teach modern Hebrew, I connect it back to the long sacred heritage."
Using her experience, Hagit has written a book for all English speakers who she says make their path into Judaism and learn Hebrew as a Jewish subject.
