New Pocket Book Launched for New Year

Friday 27th September 2019

7000 copies of the new LSJS pocket book, 'Big Prayers, Brief Intentions', have this week been sent to 45 synagogues across the UK (and to one in Israel!). The book comprises of kavanot - "intentions", which are short prayer meditations intended to get us in the right frame of mind for the prayers we are about to say in the Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur service.   This little book contains brief kavanot essays to help people get more out of key prayers in the High Holy Day services.

Contributors to the book include LSJS faculty and graduates of the LSJS MA Jewish Education, who are passionate about imparting the wonder, value and meaning of our ancient traditions to Jews today.

If you didn't pick a copy up in shul, just click here to make a donation and we'll put a copy in the post for you.
