With Rabbi Joseph Dweck

What does teshuva really mean? Is it simply repentance for wrongdoing, or is it the key to unlock the meaning of life? Rabbi Joseph Dweck will ensure we don't sleepwalk into the High Holy Days. By devoting time and thought to this core Jewish value, we'll gain fresh perspective on what God seeks from us at this most auspicious time of year.

Together, we'll work our way through Maimonides' Hilchot Teshuva (Laws of Return), the only comprehensive treatment of this subject in Jewish law. In the first part of the course, we'll explore the themes of teshuva reflected in Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur and, perhaps surprisingly, Sukkot. In the second, we'll tackle some of Judaism's biggest questions: Do we truly have free choice? What is the World to Come? And what is the ultimate purpose of human life?

Come to deepen your preparation for the High Holy Days—and stay for a course that will transform the way you understand Judaism.
