Is The Future Bright?

  • Is the Future Bright?
Jewish education at a time of crisis: A cutting-edge conversation

“Do not believe that the future is written. It isn’t. There is no fate we cannot change, no prediction we cannot defy. We are not predestined to fail; neither are we pre-ordained to succeed. We do not predict the future, because we make the future – by our choices, our willpower, our persistence, and our determination to survive.” Rabbi Sacks zt'l, Studies in Spirituality, p. 59

Is the Jewish future bright? If the survival of Jewish people is dependent on the choices we make, how can education help us make the right choices?

With Israel's perilous security situation, rising antisemitism and false accusations that the Jewish state has perpetrated genocide, we all worry about the Jewish future. But we know from our history that the way to a better future is through education, so how do educators respond at a time like this?

Join leading LSJS educators as they examine this question from the role of parents, educators, and experts in Jewish education.

This special event is part of the annual LSJS fundraising campaign.
