Ever wanted to crack Rashi’s code?

Rashi is the most prolific of all Torah commentators, appearing first on almost every page of Chumash. He answered the questions he saw in the Torah text – but rarely told us what those questions were, choosing instead to write with remarkable brevity. As a result, understanding exactly what Rashi is asking, and why he gives the answer he does, can sometimes feel like a puzzle.

Michelle Sint has developed a unique methodology for identifying Rashi’s questions by categorising the types of queries he commonly addresses. Across six sessions, explore ten categories of questions that Rashi commonly asks, using examples from the Torah to develop your ability to recognise these patterns. Learn to spot these questions for yourself by analysing the Torah text before turning to Rashi, unlocking his commentary in a whole new way. Discover a practical framework that will make Rashi more accessible, logical and engaging – and transform the way you read Chumash.

No matter what your level of Hebrew or Jewish education, this course will improve your ability to engage with Rashi's commentary, whether or not you have studied Rashi before.
