Contemporary Curator at the National Portrait Gallery. She commissions new portraits, oversees contemporary acquisitions, and curates exhibitions and displays, including the annual Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer Portrait Award (2024, 2026), a major rotating presentation of the Lucian Freud Archive held at the Gallery (2023-2026), Lines of Feeling: Portrait Drawing Now (2025) and Icons and Identities (2021). She has assisted on major exhibitions such as Lucian Freud: Drawing into Painting (2026), Francis Bacon: Human Presence (2025), David Hockney: Drawing from Life (2023 and 2020) and Gillian Wearing and Claude Cahun: Behind the mask, another mask (2017). She has researched and published widely on 20th-century and contemporary British art. She is one of the hosts of the podcast Understanding British Portraits.
