MA Religious Studies (Jewish Studies pathway)

The MA Religious Studies (Jewish Studies pathway) covers a wide array of approaches and disciplines, offering you the chance to study with experts in a range of fields. You will be taught by faculty members from LSJS and King’s College London.

Course Structure

There is one core module:

Identities and Communities in Flux: Texts and Methods in Jewish Studies

LSJS students follow a special designated pathway through a range of optional modules including: Biblical & Modern Hebrew; Jewish Ethics; Post-Holocaust Jewish Thought; Gender & Sexuality; The Jews of Muslim and Christian Spain; Modern Jewish Visual Culture; and Selfhood and Sensibility in the European Enlightenment

A 15,000 word dissertation on a topic of your choice.

Teacher in Focus

Dr Tamra Wright is Director of Academic Studies at LSJS and specializes in contemporary Jewish thought. She is a Visiting Lecturer at King’s College London and Cambridge University.

 

Study times

Lectures will take place at the Strand Campus of King’s College London between 9am and 7pm.

You can complete the degree in 1 year (fulltime) or 2 years (part-time).

 

Application
