The Bible is, after all, the world’s biggest seller, translated into just about every language and the fount of Jewish wisdom. Retrace the footsteps of Abraham and learn how the Jewish people made their way from slavery in Egypt to the receiving of the Torah and nationhood in the land of Israel. Follow the fortunes of the Judges, meet the famous – and infamous - Kings of Israel, and the great prophets who challenged them. Listen to the beautiful poetry of David and ponder the wisdom of Solomon.
Tanach in 29 Weeks is one of LSJS’s flagship courses, offering the opportunity to gain lasting and meaningful insights into Judaism’s rich heritage and the evolution of the Jewish people. You will learn the key themes, stories and ideas of the entire Bible, book by book.
Tanach in 29 Weeks is your opportunity to learn about the most important story ever told – the story of the triumphs and tragedies of the Jewish people in history and how its personalities and principles have come to shape the world in which we live.
Classes involve studying traditional texts, the investigation of key themes, group discussion and the presentation of avenues for further study.
