Sophie Fenton

Primary initial teacher training manager

Sophie is an experienced teacher and teacher trainer.

After high-school, Sophie did a BA (Hons) degree at the University of Surrey, Roehampton in Primary Education specialising in English literature and linguistics. She has extensive experience of teaching across the whole primary age range in secular schools in Brent and Barnet. Sophie has held many roles including, class teacher, Phase and Year Group Leader, English Subject Leader, Intervention Teacher, NQT Mentor to list just a few.

Sophie was a Primary Teaching and Learning Consultant leading on English in Brent LA for over 4 years. She has extensive experience of supporting many schools (including state schools, independent schools and religious schools) in setting up efficient systems and structures and implementing techniques and strategies to help school improvement and raise pupil attainment. She has looked at flexible and creative ways of supporting teachers and schools, whilst retaining the focus on improving teaching and learning as well as on raising standards.
